The most popular is the AfriCanyon Standard Canyoning trip. This trip includes a number of Abseil or Rappel points in and around waterfalls, optional jumps as well as AfriCanyon’s unique rock pool zip-line. A dynamic adventure packed with fun in between. Trip durations vary depending on group size. 

Short Intro Dip

Short trip or Canyoning intro is just that, an introduction; it includes abseiling in and around waterfalls, an optional jump in magical surrounds however does not include the rock pool zip-line.

• Trip durations vary according to group size. Each adventure is unique to the group involved.
• All guests must arrive 1 hour prior to their trip time booked.
• Booking essential as there are a limited number of places
  on each of our trips.

What’s it going to cost?

Standard Full Monty Trip:

ZAR 1055 per person.

Trip times:

09h00, 11h00 and 13h00.
Please arrive 1 hour before your trip time.

Short Intro Dip:

ZAR 835 per person.

Trip times:

10h00 and 14h00.
Please arrive 1 hour before your trip time.

How long does the trip take?

Trip durations vary between 2 – 3 hours, depending on group size and river conditions.

What does Africanyon supply?

All adventure equipment

• Wet Suit
• Harness
• Helmet
• Personal Flotation Device PFD or lifejacket (float & have fun).
• Shoes can be rented from us at R80 a pair if you don’t want to get yours wet.

When must I get there?

All Guests must arrive 1 hour prior to your booking time.
We need to fit your wetsuits, gear up and have you go through the safety briefing.

I’ve never done anything like this?

What about the weather?

Weather in the Crags area, although just 20 odd Kilometers away from the town of Plettenberg Bay, can be very different. We will run the river in light rain.

Can kids do this?

Yes, kids love it! AfriCanyon’s minimum age is 7 years old with an accompanying parent or guardian.
